New SACCO Office Opens to Empower Financial Inclusion in Kanengo, Lilongwe

In a major step toward expanding financial access and cooperative development, Limbe Leaf SACCO has officially launched its new office in Kanengo, AHL Business Complex today. The opening ceremony was attended by local dignitaries, SACCO board members, and enthusiastic members, marking a milestone in the SACCO’s journey toward modernization and member-driven growth.

The new facility is designed to enhance service delivery, improve member experience, and support the SACCO’s digital transformation agenda. Equipped with modern banking infrastructure, secure data systems, and a member education center, the office reflects the SACCO’s commitment to transparency, accessibility, and financial literacy.

“We are proud to open this new chapter in our cooperative’s history,” said Alex Mtungama, Chairperson of Limbe Leaf SACCO. “This office is more than bricks and mortar—it’s a symbol of trust, resilience, and the power of collective savings.”

Mr. Evans, Managing Director of Limbe Leaf Tobacco Company, described the launch of the new SACCO office as a powerful symbol of progress and a continued commitment to sustainable growth. He emphasized the SACCO’s pivotal role in advancing financial inclusion and fostering a culture of savings within the Limbe Leaf community.
